Hair Haul

Hey guys,

So, I don't know about you guys but I love watching all the makeup gurus on YouTube. I get a lot of tips, tricks, and recommendations. The biggest recommendation I got was not only from YouTube videos but also tv, its called Nume and they are all about hair! When I was watching CarliBybel I noticed a coupon code/special offer for their classic wands, this specific one was buy 2 classic wands for $99!!! What an amazing deal because originally it would have cost over $350!!!!
Now I know I have preached in the past about my hot tools curing iron and while that curling iron is great, I really wanted a smaller barrel and not spend a fortune.

So, I purchased the 19mm classic curling wand in pink and I got the pearl curling wand. I am so excited to show you guys what these wands do to my hair!! When I get them I will post a review on the product and show pictures of what both of them do!!

Have you guys heard of Nume? Do you have any of their products? How would you rate them?

My Fruit and Vegetable Cleanse

Hey guys,

So, this post is going to be a little different from anything else I have ever done on here, so bare with me. I have been super sleepy, not energized, etc. ever since my surgery in February. I have been pumped full of all kinds of medication in the past couple of month, so I thought going on a cleanse would be ideal to help me feel better. Today is my first day of doing the Fruit and Vegetable Cleanse and I am thinking I will do it for either 3-5 days. :)
I will update this everyday with what I ate, how I feel, and how much weight I lost if any. Hopefully I have some type of will power but potato chip and ice cream always call to me haha ;) Ohh and remember that this cleanse is suppose to leave you satisfied and NOT hungry, so please eat until you are full!

Fruits/Vegetables:
Cantaloupe
Honeydew
Watermelon
Kiwi
Apples
Pineapple
Grapes
Lettuce
Peppers
Lemons
Avocado
Celery
Zucchini
Sweet Potato
Potato
Corn
Carrots
Broccoli
Onion
Garlic

*visit www.nutrition-and-you/index.html for explanations on the benefits of the vegetables and fruits you are eating
*seasoning: olive oil, lemon, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil, rosemary, parsley.(I'm not 100% sure if I can use olive oil but I had to when I cooked veggies)
*do NOT eat alot of potatoes since they are high in carbs
*I really wished I liked more vegetables :( I am pretty limited with the vegetables

Day 1:

*I didn't do a lot of my shopping for this, so I had to go out and buy some stuff on my day 1. Luckily, I had some fruit/vegetables to start off with.

Water all day

Breakfast: I prepped all my fruits and put them in containers. I put Cantaloupe/Honeydew together, Pineapple/Apple together(the acid in the pineapple make the sliced apples not turn brown, and Kiwi is all by her self.
Cantaloupe
Honeydew
Pineapple
Apples
Kiwi

Snack:
Carrots
Fruit(pineapple/apple)

Lunch: as you can see I wasn't that hungry at lunch
Fruit
Carrots

Snack:
Fruit

Dinner:
Cooked "Salad": roasted sweet onion, carrots, broccoli, and regular potato.
Wash/cut/prep vegetables and pat dry.
1. Toss broccoli with olive oil and sliced garlic. 425 degrees F for 20-25minutes or until tender and has brown spots. Squeez lemon juice when broccoli is done(OMG this was so delish! The lemon really makes the broccoli pop)

2. Toss carrots, regular potato(parboil for 5-6 minutes), and onion with olive oil and red pepper flakes. 425 degrees F for 30-45 minutes or until tender. (Honestly, I put wayyyy too much red pepper flakes so it was way too hot :( luckily I was actually full from my snack and broccoli)
*I like my vegetables with a tiny crunch, so I don't do he full amount of time
4. Serve and Eat!!

Snack:
Honeydew
Cantlope
Pineapple
Apple

I am a little tired and irritable, probably because I cant drink coffee and I literally pee every 5 minutes(not really but it does feel like I do). Also,I would really recommend doing this cleanse over the weekend or when you don't have anything to do. Also, I usually workout everyday but for this cleanse all I am doing is Physical Therapy(I have to because of my surgery). I will admit that I am craving bread/potato chips(weird right) but luckily I am not giving in to my cravings.

*Remember, I am in no means a nutritionist/doctor so consult a doctor before you do anything drastic. Also, this is what I did and what was good for me, you all might have a different experience/feel different.

*Really wished I could blend up smoothies but my parents blender sucks and I haven't bought the Vitamix yet. I will probably do another cleanse in a couple months if this cleanse goes well and I will use the vitamix to blend up the veggies and fruit. I actually read that blending vegetables is better then eating them while because its easier on the digestive system.

Have any of you done a cleanse before? What kind of cleanse? Did it work, did you feel better, what was it called? Let me know if you guys did anything different or if you are going to try this cleanse out!
I will let you guys know how Day 2 goes so cross your fingers!

What To Wear.... Music Festivals

Hey dolls,

With so many music festivals right around the corner, we all might need some guidance as to what to wear! Make sure to stop by my esty store because I think one of the main items you need at a music festival is either a headband or flower halo!

What To Wear.... Music Festival

Miss Selfridge sleeveless top / Motel bralet top, $59 / INC International Concepts top / Miss Selfridge / Studded shorts / River Island circle skirt, $34 / Topshop / Charlotte Russe skirt / Leather sandals, $170 / Madewell / Converse lace up shoes / Wet Seal floral booties / The Cambridge Satchel Company real leather handbag, $180 / Cross body handbag / Fat Face real leather handbag, $70 / Ray-Ban ray ban sunglasses / Ray-Ban ray ban sunglasses / Ray-Ban ray ban eyewear / BCBGMAXAZRIA / Fat Face straw cowgirl hat, $31 / Topshop / BP. bp

I just love a nice and small cross body purse for a music festival! It fits all the essential items you would need for the day: Chapstick, phone, wallet, and sun screen.

No one wants wrinkles and that is why bringing sunglasses is also an essential for a music festival! I love the "hippie chic" look for music festivals, thats why I love the rounded or heart frames. But, as you can see I also love the traditional Ray Bans in either the aviators or wayfarers!

Shoes are also a big staple for music festivals because your going to be walking around a lot and not to mention it will be hot. So this is why wearing heels (yes, even wedges) would be a very bad idea. So this is why flat sandals are a easy and cute go to shoe but you can also go a little out of the box and wear the combat boot or converse sneakers!

Flower halos are all over the magazines now-a-days. They are a great piece to add to your wardrobe! They are especially great for music festivals! Vanessa Hudgens, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, and many more A list celebrities are following this amazing trend. The plus to these halos is that they are being worn on the red carpet and to run errands!

So, what are your essentials for a summer music festival? Do you guys like the flower halos or are they too "hippie?"Also, have any of you visited my Etsy site? If so, what did you guys think?
I have some really exciting news for my headbands! I was able to get ahold of my idol(who happens to be a celebrity, singer, and soon to be reality tv star) to be able to ship some of my headbands out to her in the next week or so! I am crossing my fingers she loves them as much as I do!!

DIY Bling Water Bottle

Hey guys,

I am so excited to show you this fun little DIY project I did a couple weeks ago! I actually found this on Pinterest and knew I had to do it!

Products:
E6000 glue
Water Bottle
Rhinestones (I bought mine at Hobby Lobby and had a 40% coupon from their website)

Steps:
1. Pick out the rhinestones you want to put on the water bottle (try and have an idea of the patter you want on the bottle).
2. Wash and dry water bottle
3. Glue rhinestones to bottle
4. Let it dry over night
5. Wash, wash, and wash the bottle some more. It really smelled from the glue :( but after I washed it and put it in the dishwasher, it stopped smelling!

I get sooooo many compliments on this water bottle! None of the rhinestones have fallen off because the glue I used is really durable(it has gone in the sauna, dishwasher, steam room, working out, etc)! The only downfall, which really isn't a downfall, is that it does not really fit into cup holders :( But I don't care, it is just too cute for words. You can never go wrong with a blinged out water bottle!

Makeup Idols

Hey guys,

I am very excited about this post because I get a lot of my makeup looks and inspirations from my idols. I even love their style!

So, to explain what I really love about these gorgeous women are the nude lip with lip liner, long/thick eyelashes, glowy/tan skin, and cat/winged eyeliner. I also love the honey blonde hair that Jessie James and Cindy Crawford have!

Jessie James(singer)

Jessica Smith(makeup artist/stylist)

Sophia Loren & Bridget Bardot

Cindy Crawford & Raquel Welch

So, which one of these women do you guys like the most?? Would you or have you rocked any of these makeup ideas before?

Makeup Haul

Hey guys,

So, while being away I have really added to my makeup collection. I have bought everything from drug store makeup to high end makeup. I have even gone out of my comfort zone and I bought some BB cream!!

Dior
-Lipstick: $32
- BB Cream: $58
Chanel, $34
MAC
- Lipstick: $15
- Eyeliner: $16/19.50
- Lip Liner: $15
NARS, $29
Urban Decay Naked1, $50
BH Cosmetics
- Blush: $10.95
- Blush(contour/blush): $14.95
- Eyeshadow, $10.95
NYX, $3.50
Maybelline, $6.49
Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer, $9.99(I had a coupon for $1 or $2 off)

I am absolutely in LOVE with all of my BH cosmetic makeup! The blush lasts all day and looks beautiful! I love all the different colors it came with!

I also bought the maybeline eyeshadow 24 tattoo in the pink(not pictured) and I LOVE it! It stays on all day(obviously) and the color is amazing! I will keep you all posted on the new colors I get soon because believe me I will buy more of them soon!!!!

Pretty much all my lipsticks are amazing! I am really into nude or pink lips right now! I wish I could branch out and get different colors but I'm not there yet. The only thing that I hate about wearing lipstick is the color never looks the same on my lips. Let me explain, I have pretty dark pink lips naturally so if I just slather lipstick on my lips without foundation, the lipstick doesn't look so hot. But I usually put foundation on my lips before applying lipstick. I also love lip liner! I have pretty nice lips but my top lip is thinner than my bottom lip. I also hate that I don't have a more severe cuspids bow :(

I LOVE my Dior BB cream!! It goes on smoothly and lasts forever(on my face and in general)! It really helps cover any imperfections I have(I had 2 degree burns on my nose and cheeks when I was younger, so when I tan they automatically get red and freckly). I have the Maybelline BB cream and ill say its nothing like my Dior BB cream but why would it be when the price difference is huuuuge!

My Nars albatross is amazing!! It really makes your cheeks pop!! I really only got it because of that picture of Kim Kardashian!

The MAC concealer is also amazing! It really brightens up my under eye but I also use it as a highlighter for my nose, forehead, and chin!

The Jergens natural glow moisturizer is my absolute favorite moisturizer! It doesn't have the gross smell, gives a good gradual tan, and keeps my very dry skin moisturizered all day! The only downfall of having this moisterizor is that I use my Olay face cleaner machine(the one that looks like the clarisonic) so the "tan" gets washed away when I use that(so it's not a downfall of the product but if my face wash routine :))

I have to tell you about a liquid eyeliner I had(not pictured) by maybeline called lash stelletto. It was horrible! It didn't glide on good, came off fast in flakes, and did not go on dark(I had to keep applying layers to get it look black). The eyeliner I do love is my MAC gel eyeliner and MAC liquid eyeliner.

So, tell me, do you guys have any new products you like? Have you guys tried the makeup I got? Do you guys like drug store makeup or high end makeup more??
